Noreen Hautala, a representative of Standing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ), will be speaking at the Unitarian Church of Underwood on Sunday, Oct. 20. Her talk is titled “Whiteness and Reconciliation.” SURJ is a national network of groups and individuals working on racial justice. Through community organizing, mobilizing, and education, SURJ moves white people to act as part of a multiracial majority for justice with passion and accountability. A one-hour discussion will be held immediately after the service.
The service begins at 10 a.m. A children’s class is offered, during the service.
All are welcome.
