Twelve middle school youth and three adult leaders from Bethlehem Lutheran Church went to Rapid City, South Dakota, for a mission trip this summer. During their trip the group spent time working with the Habitat for Humanity Re-Store and with other groups throughout Rapid City. They had a few opportunities to learn about the Lakota culture though a pow-wow, visiting Bear Butte and Crazy Horse, and a community cookout that they served at. The group included Summer Martin, Alya Richards, Brigitta Nycklemoe, Mckenzie Sjolie, Joe Rogal, Ashlee Donley, Gavin Pausch, Riley McGovern, Luke Pearson, Lance Johnson, Layten Drouillard, Colten Drouillard, the Rev. Tom Peterson, leaders Ken Dessellier and Tammy Richards.
