A call was placed to the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office Friday when a small vehicle was found stuck in a snowbank on Deer Lake Road. The caller tolld law enforcement they suspected the driver of the vehicle might be intoxicated.
The deputy who investigated ruled out impairment in the belief the driver was suffering from a mental health issue. The man refused medical help and said his brothers were on the way from St. Paul to help him.
The deputy and the driver waited at the Battle Lake Police Station for his brother to arrive. He was grateful for law enforcement’s help. He said that when they had awoke they didn’t know where he had gone.
