The Fergus Falls campus of Minnesota State Community and Technical College will host a regional bonding tour for Minnesota House members and community officials from the area on Wednesday, Sept. 4.
The meeting, scheduled for 7-8:15 p.m., is intended to give local state agencies an opportunity to introduce lawmakers to the projects for which they will be requesting funding in the next legislative session. It will include presentations on M State’s upcoming request, the Pope/Douglas CAP project and the Alexandria Runestone Community Center expansion.
Representatives also will receive a campus tour and an update on the Center for Student Workforce Success, which is currently under construction in the library wing on the Fergus Falls campus.
“Capital bonding is extremely important to all the Minnesota State colleges and universities as it gives us the opportunity to renovate existing space to meet the needs of our students and industry partners, as well as take care of deferred maintenance on the campus. We are pleased and honored that the House bonding committee has chosen our campus to visit as part of this process,” said M State’s chief finance officer, Pat Nordick.
The session begins in Legacy Hall and is open to the public.
