Underwood Community Education is sponsoring a quilting class on Saturday, Oct. 26 with Sharlene Jorgenson and Angela Weber.  Sharlene and Angela were on PBS with “Quilting from the Heartland.”

Weber has precut all of the pieces needed to make a Cleopatra fan quilt the size of a table topper to help attendees learn the technique of quilting gentle curves.  She has a trunk load of sample quilt patterns to illustrate all of the possibilities with the design and on Saturday participants’ pieces will be fall colors out of beautiful cherrywood fabric. Attendees will receive the templates to make another quilt and get all the help and guidance needed to be successful.

Please bring to class: Sewing machine, neutral cotton thread, scissors, pins, and lunch for noon.  Irons and boards are provided and a few sewing machines are available.  Register with Underwood School as space is limited by contacting Anne Stenoien, stenoien@underwood.k12.mn.us, or call 826-6101 ext 108.
