MOORHEAD — The Fergus Falls gymnastics team edged the hosting Moorhead Spuds 129.60-128.525 Thursday.

Ashlyn Fronning took top all-around honors with a score of 34.05. Fronning would take first in both the balance beam (9.05) and floor exercise (8.7), while finishing as runner-up on the uneven bars (8.1).

Madison Muchow would also claim a first-place finish in the uneven bars (8.35), while Mayson Jensen took second in the vault (8.325) and third on the balance beam (8.725).

In JV action, the Otters would defeat the Spuds 118.95-99.75. Clarissa Heikes took first place all-around (28.00), while Mashayla Mau took first in uneven bars (7.1) and balance beam (8.4). Olivia Trout captured first on the vault (8.3).

The Otters will now travel to Perham to participate in the Jackie Mann Invitational at 8 a.m.
