Fergus Falls police officers responded and incident in which a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Feb. 9, at the intersection of South Mill Street and Junius Avenue.
Fergus Falls police are continuing their investigation into an incident in downtown Fergus Falls on Feb. 9 involving a pedestrian being struck. Fergus Falls police responded to the scene at approximately 1:07 p.m., near the intersection of South Mill Street and Junius Avenue.
Police have said that the driver of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian was driven by Gerald Alan Kramer, 56, of Fergus Falls.
They state in a release that Kramer was driving eastbound on Junius Avenue and made a left turn heading north onto Mill Street.
At the same time, Linda Jean Meder, 59, of Underwood was crossing the street on foot and was struck by Kramer.
Police say Meder was attended to by Ringdahl Ambulance personnel and was transported to Lake Region Healthcare, but was subsequently airlifted to a Fargo/Moorhead area hospital and is undergoing treatment. The extent of her injuries or condition is unknown at this time.
No charges have been filed against Kramer at this time.

Fergus Falls police responded to a scene of a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle in Fergus Falls on Feb. 9, at around 1:30 p.m., near the intersection of South Mill Street and Junius Avenue.
“The extent of the injuries are unknown at this point. The person was conscious and talking with us, but did sustain some injuries,” stated Sgt. Kevin Sonstebo of the Fergus Falls Police Department.
The pedestrian was transported by Ringdahl Ambulance to Lake Region Healthcare.
Sonstebo indicated that police would not be releasing any names until the next of kin of the victim could be notified.
