Snowmobile crash injures Richville man

The Perham Health Emergency Department contacted the Otter Tail County Sheriff’s Office, at approximately 3:14 p.m., that a man had come into the emergency room following a snowmobile crash.

When a deputy responded to the facility they learned that Cory Damlo, 46, of Richville had been working on the Polaris Indy 500 machine that he had purchased and had taken it on a test drive. While on the drive Damlo struck a pile of snow and dirt and was thrown from the machine.

Damlo was transported to the hospital by family. The sheriff’s office said it was suspected he had sustained a possible hip fracture. The crash happened on private property on a field on the north side of Long Lake Road, west of Jeff Lake Road.

Damlo’s condition is unknown at this time.
