Stalker Lake Golf Course hosted its fifth annual golf tournament to raise money for the Underwood and Dalton fire departments.
“This has been a continued passion for Stalker Lake Golf Course to raise money for the local volunteer fire departments. We want to keep all these volunteers geared in the newest and safest equipment possible and do our best to raise money to keep them safe,” a spokesperson said.
The golf tournament raised $3,650 thanks to all the participants and the generous donations of the local business who sponsored holes. This year Stalker Lake Golf Course teamed up with Stalker Lake Sportsman Club, who graciously donated a Henry .22 Firefighter Edition rifle, and the Underwood Lions who helped raffle tickets for the gun. The gun raffle raised $2,350. A grand total of $6,030 was raised equaling out $3,015 for both Dalton and Underwood fire departments.
“Many thanks go out to the supporting businesses in each community, the volunteers of both fire departments, the generosity of the SLSC for donating the gun, and all people that were involved in making this a success,” the spokesperson added.
