MOUND — The Fergus Falls girls’ hockey team fell in a road game Friday as Mound Westonka used three scores to claim a 3-1 win.

In the first period, the White Hawks took the lead on a Brooke Pioske goal midway through. Mound Westonka would continue to build their lead as Brittney Davis and Avery Finck each scored goals in the second to take a 3-0 lead.

In the third period, the Otters would respond with a power-play goal as Ellie Andersen knocked in a goal on passes from Jade Zierden and Maddie Hulter. But that would be the team’s lone goal of the evening.

The Otters posted 21 shots on goal, while goalie Lexi Metcalf turned away 26.

The Otters will look to get back into the win column as they travel to take on Detroit Lakes at 7 p.m. Tuesday.
