On one of those cold “stay indoors”type of days, the leader of my writers group emailed several chuckles to brighten the day. I would like to share a few of them with you to help you through this Minnesota winter. Are you ready? Here we go.
“What’s the most common side effect of this drug.” Answer: “Bankruptcy.”
The biggest lie I tell myself is, “I don’t need to write that down, I’ll remember it.”
Joann also sent some wonderful Charles Schultz gems of wisdom from his Charlie Brown and Snoopy cartoon series. Native Minnesotan, Charles Schultz, has brought a lot of joy and wisdom to all his fans. Share a few with me today. The first one has my name on it!
• “Worrying won’t stop the bad stuff from happening, it just stops you from enjoying the good.”
• “A good laugh and a long sleep are the best cures for anything.”
Snoopy is shown hugging a red heart and the caption reads: “When my arms can’t reach people who are close to my heart...I always hug them with my prayers.”
Snoopy is hanging onto a tree so he won’t get blown away by the strong wind. The caption says: “Faith is holding on tight when the going gets windy.”
And my final one today is dedicated to all my TOPS friends in Fergus Falls. Snoopy is sitting on top of his doghouse with a typewriter. He writes: “All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn’t hurt.”
Thanks for sharing these warm words with me today. Hope they have warmed up your heart and brought a smile to brighten up your day. Bye.
