Easter weekend began yesterday with Good Friday. For Christians, it’s the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus Christ and the promise of eternal life. For others, this time of year is a reminder of renewal and represents the pivot from winter to true spring as the foliage begins to gain color.
The holiday is also a good time to gather with our families, share a few memories and a meal. Children will discuss what the Easter Bunny brought them this year, what color they dyed their eggs and play with siblings and cousins. It is a joyous occasion to be with family young and old.
Easter is also a time of reflection. It is a time when we look at putting priorities in order and living by principles that matter. It is a renew in both hope and faith.
For candy lovers, Easter is a time to indulge on chocolate bunnies, eggs and other festive symbols. This is no surprise as Americans spend over $2 billion on Easter candy each year according to the National Retail Federation. It seems whether it’s a chocolate rabbit or a marshmallow peep, people are enjoying Easter.
Whether traveling near or far, staying at home or taking a break from our daily lives, we want to wish you a happy and safe holiday weekend.
