PARKERS PRAIRIE — The Hillcrest boys’ basketball team held off Little Eight Conference foe Parkers Prairie Friday to record a 57-43 victory.



A strong offensive night from the Hillcrest girls’ basketball team saw the hosting Comets cruise to a 72-38 victory over the visiting Ortonville Trojans Friday.

BATTLE LAKE — The Battle Lake boys’ basketball team saw visiting Brandon-Evansville attempt a surge in the second half but a big run closed the door on the Chargers as the Battlers claimed a 54-38 Little Eight Conference win Friday.

PELICAN RAPIDS — In a Heart O’Lakes Conference overtime thriller, the visiting Breckenridge Cowboys claimed a 79-74 victory over the Pelican Rapids boys’ basketball team Friday.

GRACEVILLE — The West Central Area girls’ basketball team picked up a 48-36 victory Thursday as the Knights defeated Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley.

The Fergus Falls boys’ hockey team avenged an earlier season loss to the Alexandria Cardinals Thursday as the Otters scored four goals in the second period to pick up a 6-2 Central Lakes Conference victory.

The Fergus Falls boys’ swimming and diving team welcomed in Central Lakes Conference foe Willmar for a meet Thursday. The Cardinals would tread past the Otters for a 113-58 win.

BEMIDJI — With 42 points in the first half, the Fergus Falls girls’ basketball team built a considerable lead before the break and closed out the game with a 67-42 victory over the Bemidji Lumberjacks Thursday.

Fergus Falls Squirt B1 team played three games over the weekend, two games on Saturday against the Fargo Angels and one game Sunday against Morris-Benson. The Fergus Squirt B1 team is coached by Jay Lunde, Toby Johnson and Luke Johnston. 

The Fergus Falls 10U B girls faced off against the unbeaten 14-0 Litchfield/Dassel-Cokato Dragons (LDC). LDC came into the game ranked No. 1 in the state. The Otters were ranked No. 4 and started the game with a 14-1 record.

The Otter Tail Central Bulldog wrestling team went 2-1 as they wrestled the last two home meets of the year and look to close out the year on the road at the end of February.

ROTHSAY — The Rothsay girls’ basketball team welcomed in the Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley Wolverines Monday. The visiting Wolverines took command of the game in the first half and never reliquished it as they defeated the Tigers 63-30.

UNDERWOOD — The Battle Lake boys’ basketball team forced 30 turnovers on the way to a 77-45 Little Eight Conference victory over the hosting Underwood Rockets Friday.

ASHBY — The Ashby boys’ basketball team grabbed the top spot in the Little Eight Conference Friday as the Arrows upended the visiting Parkers Prairie Panthers 61-48.

ROTHSAY — In a Little Eight Conference matchup Friday, the Hillcrest boys’ basketball team used stifling defense to cruise to a 63-29 victory over the hosting Rothsay Tigers.

NEW YORK MILLS — The Henning boys’ basketball team struggled to get into an offensive rhythm as the hosting New York Mills Eagles claimed a 61-32 victory Friday.

BARRETT — The West Central Area boys’ basketball team used stifling defense to limit the visiting Brandon-Evansville Chargers to 25% from the field on the way to a 60-30 victory Thursday.

PELICAN RAPIDS — The Pelican Rapids boys’ basketball team used a second-half surge to top the Hawley Nuggets in a Heart O’Lakes Conference tilt 58-41 Thursday.
