As the Fergus Falls boys’ basketball team prepares for the start of the season Saturday, Nov. 30 against Moorhead at Moorhead State University (starts at 4 p.m.), Otters multisport athlete Ethan Olson shared his early impressions of how practices have been going and his thoughts on the end of the football season.

Hobbies: Fishing, socializing.

Q: As quarterback of this year’s football team would you like to comment on the season?

A: I thought the football season ended pretty good for us. We got a lot better as the year went on and I was proud of how we improved throughout the year and ended it.

Q: Otters boys’ basketball is gearing up for the beginning of the season what are your early impressions of how things have been going in practice?

A: So far I’ve been impressed with how hard guys have been working and everyone’s willingness to learn and take on a new role this year.

Q: What’s one memory from throughout your sports career that stands out above others?

A: I think my favorite memory was going to state for basketball freshmen year.

Q: Being that the basketball season hasn’t started yet, what do you see for the future of the football program?

A: We have a lot of kids next year that seem like they’ll be working hard to improve on what we did this year and improve from there.

Q: As an athlete how would you like to be remembered?

A: Mostly just as a good leader, good teammate and a good friend.
