Fergus Falls Otters girls’ hockey team member and single-sport athlete Vivian Karsnia is one of five seniors tasked with leading a talented girls’ hockey team with goals of making a return trip to the state tournament. Although the early season is still in its infancy, Vivian will be one of the key players tasked with helping the team mature as the schedule progresses.

Hobbies: Socializing, working out.
Q: What are your early impressions of the girls’ hockey season?
A: We’ve had a rough start but I think once we click everything will work out.
Q: What have you learned from playing sports?
A: I learned teamwork, and that not everything’s going to go as you planned, take it as it comes.
Q: What’s one memory from your sports career that stands out more than others?
A: Definitely winning the section championship last year to go to state because we worked really hard for so many years and we made it, so that was really nice.
Q: What do you see for the future of the program?
A: I think if we keep working hard and everyone’s dedicated we’ll go back to state.
Q: As an athlete how would you like to be remembered?
A: Dedicated and a hard worker.
