ASHBY — The Ashby boys’ basketball team extended its winning streak to 10 as the Arrows topped Little Eight Conference foe Underwood 63-42 Friday.
“Ashby took advantage of our mistakes late in the first half and took the momentum away from us,” Rockets head coach Evan Meece said. “That swing was tough to recover from. They are a very solid team and we played hard right to the final buzzer.”
The Arrows were led in scoring by Hunter Norby with 13 points, while teammates Jacob Cook and Torin Olson each had a dozen.
The Rockets saw Krosby Aasness scored 22 points and dish three assists in the game.
The Arrows will now travel to take on Rothsay in another LEC showdown at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday. The Rockets will welcome in West Central Area at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday.
