The West Central Area/Ashby/Brandon-Evansville Knights wrestling squad picked up a win during their quadrangular, on Feb. 2. They defeated Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City (54-21), fell to Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa (44-22) and Royalton-Upsala (35-34). Below are the results.

Hosting a quadrangular, on Jan. 5, the West Central Area/Ashby/Brandon-Evansville Knights wrestling team came away with their victories. They got by Border West, 43-27. Downed Bertha-Hewitt/Verndale/Parkers Prairie 49-27 and cruised past Barnesville, 63-12.
Wrestling with 18 other teams, at the Monticello Invite, on Dec. 17, the West Central Area-Ashby-Brandon/Evansville Knights had six wrestlers in the finals, with three pulling out wins and took home the team title with 236 points. Mounds View was second (224.5) and Benson third (121).

The Little Eight Conference announced their award winners and all-conference teams for fall of 2022. The conference champion was Clinton/Graceville/Beardsley. The Conference MVP went to Jessica Moberg (CGB) and the Coach of the Year was Hillcrest’s Debi Foss.
The Underwood Rockets and West Central Area/Ashby Knights clashed on the gridiron, on Oct. 19. When the dust settled it was a 34-7 win for the visiting Knights.
The Ashby Arrows used four sets to defeat the Battle Lake Battlers, in Little Eight Conference volleyball, on Aug. 30. Sets scores were 25-19, 25-15, 19-25 and 25-15.
