ELBOW LAKE — The Hillcrest boys’ golf team claimed a victory at a Quad County Conference meet at Tipsinah Mounds Tuesday.
The Comets shot a team score of 322 followed by Otter Tail Central (322), Underwood (352), Ortonville (367), Border West (367), Rothsay (387), West Central Area (393), Ashby (411), Pillager (418) and LPGE/Browerville (428).
Otter Tail Central’s Noah Chase shot a round of 75 for medalist honors, while Hillcrest’s John Vall (77) and Underwood’s Trevor Swonger (80) places in the top three.
The Comets would round out their scoring with Mike Vall (81), Joel Quam (82) and Logan Disabella (82). Ben Christianson (89) and Nick Foss (102) also carded scores.
After Chase, OTC’s Jackson Nyhus (81), Nick Miller (85) and Parker Fraki (87) would contribute to the team score, with Drew Young (87) and Carter Dilly (96) also playing a round.
Canaan Kugler (83), Braden Thorson (94) and Logan Frigaard (95) would add to Rockets team score. Bryce Jorgenson (97) and Logan Johansen (99) also competed for Underwood.
West Central Area was led by Tate Christenson with an 87, followed by Declan Johnson (98), Jacob Warde (104) and Mitch Dewey (104) for a team score. Grant Beuckens (106) and Payton Hanson (108) carded rounds for the Knights.
Jacob Cook (96) and Ganon Heinrich (98) each had scores in the 90s for the Arrows, while teammates Ethan Johnsrud (107), Derek Bartz (110), Bradley Anderson (112) and Brandon Anderson (119) also competed.
The Rothsay Tigers were led on the links by Karter Jensen with an 88. Braden Moen (96), Ethan Curtis (96), Sam Danielson (107), Trevin Erickson (108) and Chris Carillo (108) also competed for Rothsay.
