The Minnesota High School football playoffs will get underway Tuesday with several area teams looking to extend their season.

The Fergus Falls Otters received the No. 4 seed and will host East Grand Forks (No. 5) at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

In Section 6A, the Underwood Rockets received the No. 1 seed and will receive a bye, while No. 4 Otter Tail Central will host No. 5 New York Mills at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

In Section 6AA, the West Central Area/Ashby Knights received the fourth seed and will host No. 5 Long Prairie-Grey Eagle at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

In Section 8AA, the Pelican Rapids Vikings will host No. 7 United North Central at 6 p.m. Tuesday.

In 9-man football, the Rothsay Tigers will head out on the road to take on top-seeded Hancock in Section 4 action at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
