The Ashby boys’ basketball hoped to snap a small skid Tuesday as they hosted the Hancock Owls. The visitor continued to put the Arrows on the slide as the Owls picked up a 72-63 victory.
“Hancock’s athleticism gave us trouble, especially out on the perimeter,” Arrows head coach John Holsten said.
The Arrows were led in scoring by Christian Norby with 19 points. Teammates Scott Johnson (17), Noah Johnson (14) and Jaden Norby (13) were also in double figures in the game.
Bennett Neinhaus led the Owls in scoring with 23 points, while teammates Connor Reese and Daniel Milander chipped in 16 and 13 points respectively.
The Arrows will look to snap their recent spell as they travel to take on the Verndale Pirates at 7:15 p.m. Thursday.
