For the second day in-a-row, the Fergus Falls Otters girls golf team captured a team title, firing a 340 as a team at the Bemidji Invite, on May 11.

Annika Jyrkas carded an 81 and was co-medalist. Ellia Soydara was two strokes behind (83) and finished in third place.

Ella Mayer finished tied at fifth place, shooting an 87. Annie Mayer was in eighth (89) and Lexi Metcalf was also in the top ten, tied at ninth with a 90. Olivia Jurgens finished with a 102

“The girls played really well as a team, from players 1-6 everyone was solid in their scoring,” said coach Ben Jurgens. “Jyrkas secured her second co-medalist honor of the year. In the past couple of days the girls have been locked in, posting back to back 340’s. Metcalf is knocking on the door in joining her teammates in the 80s, it’s just a matter of time.

Girls golf is set to return to action on May 16, hosting a meet at Pebble Lake Golf Course.
