BATTLE LAKE — The Battle Lake girls’ basketball team topped the visiting Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley Wolverines 52-33 Tuesday.

The Hillcrest girls’ basketball team welcome in Little Eight Conference rival Battle Lake Friday night. As the game winded down, the visiting Battlers would exit the gymnasium with a 42-28 victory over the Comets.

BATTLE LAKE — Holding its host to seven first-half points, the visiting Underwood girls’ basketball team cruised to a 61-24 Little Eight Conference victory over Battle Lake Tuesday.

BATTLE LAKE — In a battle of Little Eight Conference rivals, the Battle Lake girls’ basketball team topped the Rothsay Tigers 49-48 in overtime Friday.

BATTLE LAKE — After trailing at halftime, the visiting Ashby boys’ basketball team used a second-half rally to defeat the Battle Lake Battlers in a Little Eight Conference showdown 63-50 Thursday.

BATTLE LAKE — The Battle Lake girls’ basketball team could not find its offensive rhythm as the visiting New York Mills Eagles claimed a 59-18 win Friday.

BATTLE LAKE — The Battle Lake boys’ basketball team welcome in Little Eight Conference foe Parkers Prairie for its home opener Thursday. The Panthers would not be easy guests as they took a 69-40 conference win.

The Battle Lake boys’ basketball team struggled to find its rhythm as the hosting Brandon-Evansville Chargers took home a 69-39 Little Eight Conference win.

BARRETT — The West Central Area boys’ basketball team used strong defensive play and an opportunistic offense to cruise to a 87-47 victory over the Battle Lake Battlers Thursday.

HANCOCK — The Battle Lake volleyball team fell in the opening round of the Section 6A playoffs Monday as the Hancock Owls claimed a three-set (25-13, 27-25, 25-23) victory. Makenna Tysdal recorded 19 digs for the Battlers, while Kate Christensen added 10 kills. The Battlers finish the season with a 7-17 record.
