Bump: Rothsay’s Kenadi Carlsrud bumps a ball during Tuesday’ match against Battle Lake.

ROTHSAY —The hosting Rothsay volleyball team held off a tenacious Battle Lake team to win in four sets (25-22, 25-19, 23-25, 26-24) Tuesday.

“Both teams played very hard tonight,” Tigers head coach Kim Braaten said. “We had ups and downs in all areas but were able to pull through and fight for each game. The Battlers improved greatly since the last time playing them and really put up a great fight.”

Jenna Fabre (16), Kenadi Carlsrud (13) and Grace Lider (10) led the Tigers on the attack, while Fabre (18), Carlsrud (17), Jayna Gronewold (17) and Summer Wigdahl (12) were all in double-digits in digs in the game.

The Tigers will now travel to take on the Underwood Rockets at 7:15 p.m. Monday. The Battle Lake will welcome in Underwood for a 7:15 p.m. match Tuesday, Oct. 15.
