BATTLE LAKE — The Battle Lake boys’ basketball team saw visiting Brandon-Evansville attempt a surge in the second half but a big run closed the door on the Chargers as the Battlers claimed a 54-38 Little Eight Conference win Friday.
The Battlers held a slim 27-25 lead at the break and saw the Chargers start the second half solid. Battle Lake would turn the lights off on the Brandon-Evansville offense as they went on a 21-1 run to secure the win.
The Battlers were led in scoring by Drew Johnson (13), while teammate Jack Mekalson was in double figures with 10.
The Battlers will welcome in Parkers Prairie for a 7:15 p.m. LEC tilt Tuesday.
