A big second half allowed the hosting Hillcrest boys’ basketball team to claim a 74-59 victory over the visiting Park Christian Falcons Saturday.

The Comets struggled in the first half as the Falcons would take a 38-25 lead into the break. Hillcrest would regroup in the second half as they outscored Park Christian 49-21 to get the win.

The Comets were led by Thomas Zwiers with 28 points and 16 rebounds for a double-double, while teammates Evan Gould (14), Micah Foss (12) and Zeke Ihrke (11) were all in double figures in the win.

The Comets will begin a three-game road trip as they take on Lake Park-Audubon at 7:30 p.m. Monday.
