The Fergus Falls girls’ basketball team picked up its 13 victory in a row as it defeated the hosting Hawley Nuggets 63-36 Tuesday.

The Otters would take a 36-19 lead into the break and continue to pour on the points in the second half.

"It was a tremendous defensive effort by the Otters, we held their three top scorers to 13 points," Otters assistant coach Kevin Pearson said. "We had a very good game plan and the girls executed it to perfection."

Ellie Colbeck led the Otters in scoring with 18 points, while teammate Tori Ratz dropped in 14 tallies. Sabrina Fronning led the defensive effort with four steals.

The Otters JV downed Hawley 39-32 led by Logan Stromm and Anna Anderson both with 10 points respectively. Finishing out the undercard Fergus Falls' C-squad was victorious 33-19 led by Centreya Lockett with 10 points.

The Otters will now travel to Concordia College in Moorhead to take on Roseau at 6 p.m. Saturday.
