GLYNDON — The Fergus Falls football team could not find an answer for top-seeded Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton Rebels Saturday as the Otters fell 35-7 in the Section 8AAA playoffs.
The Rebels got off to a good start as Carter Kohler and Cade Sogge each recorded rushing touchdowns. Kohler would score from 17 yards out, while Sogge plunged into the endzone from a yard. Keaton Ring would make both points after to give the home team a 14-0 lead.
The Otters cut into the lead in the second quarter as quarterback Ethan Olson found Abel Aho for a 7-yard touchdown pass. Andrew Starzl kicked the point after, sending both teams to the locker room at half with the Rebels leading 14-7.
In the second half, the Rebels would take over the game as Justin Wang rushed in a 10-yard score in the third quarter to push the lead to 20-7.
D-G-F would score twice more in the fourth quarter with Aiden Leach reaching the endzone on a 20-yard scamper and a 5-yard touchdown run by Kohler.
The Otters finish the year with 5-5 record.
