Fergus Falls boys’ basketball player Brock Kotschevar brings the ball up the court for the Otters in their home game Friday against Brainerd.

With a early surge in the second half, the Fergus Falls boys’ basketball overcame a first-half deficit to defeat Central Lakes Conference foe Brainerd 59-44 Friday.

The visiting Warriors would grab a slim lead as they went into the break up 25-24.

In the second half, the Otters would catch fire as they went on an 11-0 run and never look back the remainder of the game.

Chance Fazio led the Otters in scoring with 15 points, while teammates Ethan Olson (11) and Brock Kotschevar (10) were also in double figures. Parker Jacobs would led Fergus Falls in rebounds with nine and Dominic Aguilar would dish out eight assists in the win.

The Otters will continue their homestand as they welcome in Sauk Rapid-Rice for another conference game at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday.
