MOORHEAD —The Hillcrest volleyball team looked to pick up a road win Tuesday, but the hosting Park Christian Falcons swooped down to pick up a three-set victory 25-13, 25-8, 25-14.

“Tonight we played against a great team and a well-developed program,” Comets head coach Debi Foss said. “They consistently hit the ball hard, ran a quick offense in the middle, and served the ball very well at us. We struggled with our defense at the net as well as getting the opportunities to put the ball down on their side. The girls had some strong moments tonight and showed improvement from last week’s matchup against Pelican Rapids.”

Mackenzie and Madi Foss led the Comets defensively as they recorded 12 and 10 digs, respectively.

The Comets will now travel to take on the Underwood Rockets at 7 p.m. Thursday.
