The Hillcrest boys’ soccer team picked up its second consecutive shutout victory Tuesday as it defeated the visiting Crookston Pirates 4-0.
Severin Breck scored first for the Comets at the 17-minute off an assist from Kristian Maestad. Breck would score again at 32 minutes with the assist going to Vetle Myntevik. Kristian Maestad would make it 3-0 before the half off an assist from Ethan Ness, at 35 minutes.
The only goal in the second half came at the 63-minute mark when Jowell Seymour took a pass inside the box from Maestad and placed it by the Pirate keeper into the net.
Senior co-captains Ethan Ness and Zajen McArton teamed up in the net for the Comet shutout.
The Comets will continue their homestand as they welcome in Pelican Rapids at noon Saturday.
