The Hillcrest volleyball team saw its season come to an end Monday as the Comets fell to the Frazee Hornets 25-9, 25-12, 25-22 in the Section 6A playoffs.

“As we wrap the 2019 season I want to say a huge thank you to our parents for their extra efforts while we were displaced from our own home court,” Comets head coach Debi Foss said. “Also want to thank my assistants Patti Zwiers, Reese Ellison, Ashley Miller, and volunteer stats expert, Emily Christenson for their support, encouragement, strategy sessions, and willingness to work in our “developing” program.  Thank you Jesus for always teaching us in all circumstances and leading us to “Thrive and not just survive.”

Maria Ruud led Hillcrest defensively with 14 digs, while teammates Madi and Mack Foss each had 10.

The Comets finish the season with a 3-24-1 record.
