For those looking to see some high school sports during this holiday week, below is a list of some of our area tournaments (Varsity games only)
Boys hockey:
Fergus Falls is hosting their annual tournament, beginning on the 27th and running through the 29th. For the Otters, the play versus New Ulm (27th), Fort Frances (28th) and Detroit Lakes (29th).
Girls hockey:
Fergus Falls will be at the Girls Holiday Classic, Dec. 29-31, at the New Hope Ice Arena. The Tournament is hosted by the Armstrong/Copper squad.
Boys and girls basketball:
Hillcrest girls basketball is at a tournament hosted by Sacred Heart (Grand Forks) on Dec. 27 and 28.
Fergus Falls is hosting the 2022 AmericInn & Country Inn and Suites Holiday Classic Holiday Basketball Tournament, on Dec. 28 and 29.
Dec. 28 -
Boys — Morris vs. Worthington and Proctor vs. Fergus Falls (Otters at 6 p.m.)
Girls — Crookston vs. Hancock and Detroit Lakes vs. Fergus Falls (Following boys game)
Dec. 29 -
The winners and losers will play each other.
Pelican Rapids — Minnesota National Bank Classic Holiday Tournament, on Dec. 28 and 29.
Dec. 28 -
Girls — Underwood vs Walker-Hackensack-Akeley – New York Mills vs Badger/Greenbush/Middle River – Battle Lake vs West Central Area – Lake Park-Audubon vs Pelican Rapids
Boys — Battle Lake vs. West Central Area – New York Mills vs. Pelican Rapids
