BARRETT — The WCA Knights came out on top of a battle with the Hancock Owls in Barrett on Thursday night 53-43. The Knights outscored the Owls 35-24 in the second half after the Owls led 19-18 at the half.

"We played a much better second half,” Knights head coach Kraig Hunter said. "In the first half, we were a little too pumped up and did not shoot the ball well and played a little too fast. Hancock is a good team with many good athletes. Their kids played extremely hard."

The Knights used good balance again in scoring. Jacob Bright had 12 points, Jack VanKempen (11), Gage Staples (11) and Grant Beuckens (10) were also in double figures.
