MINNEWASKA — The M State men’s golf team finished second at the University of Minnesota Morris Invite at the Minnewaska Golf Course Friday.
The Spartans shot a 314 team score, while the University of Jamestown won the event with a 309.
“As a team, it was an up and down day as we put up some big numbers early, but then settled in much better as the round progressed,” Spartans head coach Jason Retzlaff said.
The Spartans saw Wyatt Blomseth capture medalist honors as he shot even-par (72).
“Wyatt Blomseth was outstanding today and was rewarded with medalist honors. His putting was tremendous on some very fast and difficult greens,” Retzlaff said.
