The M State baseball team continues to be on a roll as it swept the Anoka-Ramsey Golden Rams Thursday.
In Game 1, bookends of runs gave the Spartans a 14-5 win.
M State would plate a run in the first inning, six in the second, a run in the third, two in the sixth and four in the seventh.
The Spartans collected 17 hits with Will Magnusson leading the way going 4-for-5 with two RBIs and a run scored. Tom Magnusson, Cody Arlt, Matt Pietsch, Ryan Schmitz, Jake Dykhoff and Rory Drewes each collected two hits for M State in the game. Schmitz and Dykhoff would also go yard each hitting a home run.
Mitch Porter would pick up the win going four innings, striking out three and allowing three earned on six hits.
The Spartan offense continued to bookend runs in the second game as they scored six in the first and eight in the fifth to claim a 14-4 win.
The Rams made the game interesting as they cut the lead to two after three innings, but the visitor would hold on for the victory.
Austin Oetter and Dykhoff would each hit a home run in the win.
Nick Endersby picked up his first win of the season on the mound pitching three innings and allowing four runs on four hits.
The Spartans will return home as they host the St. Cloud Technical and Community College Cyclones in a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
