PELICAN RAPIDS — The Pelican Rapids volleyball team celebrated homecoming week Tuesday with its game against New York Mills. But the visiting Eagles would not be nice to their host as the Vikings fell 25-15, 25-13, 25-21.

“The community of Pelican Rapids showed their amazing school spirit coming out to support the team and our girls were excited to get back on our home court,” Vikings head coach Heidi Isaman said.

Ryley Paulson, Riley Berg and Greta Tollefson each notched eight digs in the game, while Tollefson added 2 1/2 blocks. Berg (3) and Anna Stephenson (2) each had multiple service aces in the match.

The Vikings will be back in action Monday as they host Battle Lake at 7:30 p.m.
