Traveling to Saint Cloud on Jan. 11, the Fergus Falls Otter girls basketball team used a strong second half to come away with their eighth win of the season, defeating the Saint Cloud Crush 67-51.

“We had a slow start coming out, dealing with pressure and didn’t respond,” mentioned assistant coach Jess Price, “went into the second half with a slight lead and then made a run to gain control of the game.”

The lead was pushed out to 25 points, at one point, in the final 18 minutes. Tori Ratz hit five shots from downtown and paced the Otters with 21 points, including five rebounds and six assists. Ellie Colbeck contributed 15 points in the game, while contributing five rebounds and six assists as well

It sets the tone for the rest of the week as the Otter girls welcome in Willmar on Jan.13 and visit the Perham Yellow Jackets on Jan. 15.
