SARTELL — The Fergus Falls boys’ hockey could not find a way into the net Tuesday as the hosting Sartell-St. Stephen Sabres downed the Otters 10-0.

The Sabres put in three goals in the first period as Lacen VanDenBerg and Hayden Walters (2) knocked in the goals.

In the second, the Sabres added three more goals. Tory Lund, Josh Kern and Ryan Zulkosky each flipped in goals.

With a 7-0 lead, the Sabres added four more goals to seal the game. Michael Webster scored two goals, while teammates Parker Comstock and Ben Marthaler each notched one.

The Sabres outshot the Otters 30-25. Fergus Falls goalies Ian Stumbo and Scott VanVoorhis combined for 20 saves.

The Otters will open their home season Thursday as they welcome in Sauk Rapids-Rice at 7:15 p.m.
