Underwood uses second half push to defeat Rothsay

The Tigers led 21-16 at the break and held the lead until the Rockets jumped ahead just under the seven minute mark of the second half (43-41).

"We came out very flat and lacked intensity on both ends of the court," said Underwood coach Kellen Shebeck. "Jayden Harig came in and provided a spark, with excellent effort. I"m proud of the way the guys responded in the second half."

Drew Evavold finished with a double double, to lead the Rockets. He had 24 points and 13 rebounds. Hudson Risbrudt was also in double figures, providing a solid 17 points. Kaleb Hammes pulled down nine rebounds.

Rothsay was led by Karson Jensen’s 16 points.

Underwood will now take on the top seed in the north, the Henning Hornets.

The game was originally scheduled for Mar. 9, but has been moved up a day to Mar. 8.
