Underwood single-sport athlete Marc Horikoshi is confident that despite some early-season hiccups for the boys’ basketball team, the fabric that binds them together will be enough to get the Rockets moving in the right direction come playoff time.
Underwood multisport athlete Ally Johnson is an important component on this year’s Rockets girls’ basketball team, as one of only three other seniors, Johnson is known on-court for her persistence and indomitable spirit that has a way of inspiring teammates.

UNDERWOOD — The Underwood boys’ basketball team welcomed in Little Eight Conference foe Hillcrest Thursday. After a close first half of play, the visiting Comets gained the edge to pick up a 68-48 victory.
On Saturday, Jan. 4 against the Ortonville Trojans, Underwood multisport athlete Kayla Rocholl made school history by becoming a member of the basketball team’s 1,000-point club, a select group of which older brother, Brady, is also a member.
