The Underwood Rockets volleyball team participated in the sixth annual Ruth Hayden Tournament of Roses in Ada, on Sept. 10. They opened up pool play with a 2-0 loss to Badger-Greenbush-Middle River, came back with wins over Fosston (2-1) and Bagley (2-0).

Playing in their first home game of the season, on Sept. 6, the Underwood Rockets volleyball squad swept the Battle Lake Battlers, 3-0. Set scores were 25-15, 25-23 and 25-15.

The Pelican Rapids Vikings football team used timely turnovers and big plays into a 52-12 victory over the Underwood Rockets, on Sept 1, at Chauncey Martin Field in Pelican.

In a non-conference volleyball match up on Aug. 30, the Henning Hornets got the best of the Underwood Rockets, winning in four sets: 25-14, 25-18, 27-29, 26-24.

The Otter Tail County (OTC) 15U season came to a heartbreaking end with an eight-inning loss to Barnesville in the quarterfinals of the state tournament in Henning Saturday.  OTC ended up going 3-1 in the state tournament, outscoring their opponents 33-11. 

Otter Tail County (OTC) 15U stole the lead late and defeated Holdingford 6-3 on Friday. The game was tied at three with OTC batting in the top of the sixth when Nick Liebold induced Owen Harig to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

DILWORTH — The Otter Tail Central Raptors 15U baseball team split a doubleheader Wednesday as they took on hosting Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton.

HENNING — By defeating Alexandria in both games of a doubleheader Thursday at Tony Kawlewski field in Henning, the Otter Tail Central (OTC) 13U Dawgs won their ninth straight game and move to 16-4 overall.  

Despite seeing its four-run lead whittled down by the end, the Otter Tail Central 15U still held off Dilworth-Glyndon-Felton for a 4-3 victory on Monday. 

The Otter Tail Central 13U baseball team defeated Detroit Lakes (8-2), Fargo (7-2), and PRBA (12-11) to go 3-0 Saturday to win the Detroit Lakes Round Robin Tournament outright. 

Otter Tail Central advances to 7-4 overall with a conference record of 5-0 behind strong starting pitcher Kale Misegades (5IP) and relief pitcher Drew Evavold (2IP).  Misegades went five innings, struck out nine and gave up three runs on seven hits. 

ST. MICHAEL — The Fergus Falls Otters saw three members of their track and field team place at the Class AA state meet Saturday.

Otter Tail Central (OTC) 13U advances to 4-0 in league play by defeating PRBA Wednesday night.  Ottertail Central 13U is now 6-3 overall, 4-0 league.  The high-powered offense has outscored their opponents 24-12 in league play. 

BECKER — The West Central Area boys’ golf team closed out its season at the Class A state golf tournament at Pebble Creek Golf Club Wednesday. 

PARKERS PRAIRIE — The Otter Tail Central baseball team recorded a doubleheader split with the hosting Parkers Prairie Panthers Tuesday.

In a pitching duel Thursday, the hosting Otter Tail Central baseball team did just enough to top the visiting Pelican Rapids Vikings as the home team picked up a 1-0 victory.

ELBOW LAKE — The West Central Area boys’ golf team claimed the Quad County Conference title  Monday as they won the conference championship at Tipsinah Mounds.
