ST. PAUL — The Henning volleyball team saw its championship run come to an end Thursday as Waterville-Elysian-Morristown won the Class A quarterfinal matchup 3-0 (25-11, 25-21, 25-18).

Henning was led on the attack by junior middle hitter Megan Rinicker with nine kills. WEM was led by Toryn Richards with 13 kills and 20 digs.

The Hornets will now take on Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa, a three-set (25-22, 25-18, 25-10) loser to Medford, at 3 p.m. Friday at the Xcel Energy Center.
