ELBOW LAKE — The West Central Area boys’ golf team claimed the Quad County Conference title  Monday as they won the conference championship at Tipsinah Mounds.

The West Central Area boys’ golf team took four out of the six medal spots as the Knights competed in a Quad County Conference meet at Pebble Lake Golf Course Thursday.

BATTLE LAKE — In a meet at Balmoral Golf Course, the West Central Area boys’ and Otter Tail Central girls’ teams celebrated a meet win Thursday.

The West Central Area track and field teams competed for the first time in nearly two years as they participated in a meet in Melrose. The Knights boys and girls teams each finished third at the meet.

ASHBY — Taking on the 19-0 Ashby boys’ basketball team in the Section 6A playoffs seemed like a tall feat for the visiting West Central Area Knights. But a strong shooting night and even stronger defense, the Knights upset the No. 2 (Class A) Arrows 61-38 Saturday.

ALEXANDRIA — The Fergus Falls fans celebrated Otter basketball player Dominic Aguilar Thursday as the senior recorded his 1,000th career point, but the hosting Alexandria Cardinals did not join in the festivities as they picked up a 56-40 Central Lakes Conference win.
