The West Central Area volleyball team competed at the Bertha-Hewitt Tournament Saturday finishing with a 1-2-1 record.

The Knights defeated Pillager 2-1 (25-17, 21-25, 15-10), split with Rothsay (25-15, 20-25), and lost to Bertha-Hewitt twice (25-21, 25-12), (25-17, 25-14).

“We are starting to get into a grove of playing steady volleyball, trusting our teammates and trying to stay focused on pushing ourselves to play consistently,” Knights head coach Melissa Foslien said.

In Game 2, Hailey Bennett recorded three aces, while in Game 3 Kaleigh Anderson had four aces. Lizzie Rustan also had five blocks in Game 3.

The Knights will now host Clinton-Graceville-Beardsley at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday.
